Chirico Gets Animated

One of the beauteous things the internet does (when it's not busy destroying everything that is good and decent) is that it encourages people to put inordinate amounts of energy into creating stuff with basically zero commercial value.

As a result, human creativity is being unlocked in a whole lot of intriguing ways, with artists the world over perpetually remixing and re-envisioning the art that has come before.

This lovely little short film from Poland explores the work of one of my favorite surrealist painters of yore, Giorgio de Chirico. If you're into Chirico in particular or the surrealists in general, you should check it out:
